So the wedding is tomorrow and I got the ring bearer pillow finished up this morning. It came out very well if I do say so myself. In keeping with my propensity for never following a pattern exactly, I mitered the corners of the edging lace instead of knitting it in one straight strip, and I grafted the ends together instead of casting on, binding off, and seaming.
My mom sewed the pillow and put a strap on the bottom because she thought it would be easier for Kindon to carry that way.
I am a married mom of four grown kids, grandma of the world's cutest grandson and most beautiful granddaughter, and was a licensed family child care provider from July 1986 until June 2009. I have earned my Child Development Associate credential and am a nationally certified Child Passenger Safety Technician (in other words, I can tell you more than you want to know about car seats and safe transportation of kids in cars). I have also been described as a "knitaholic" since I can be seen with knitting in hand almost anywhere that I happen to be. Recently I have ventured into the world of spinning my own yarn as well. This blog will chronicle my latest knitting projects, craft fairs, and the other major happenings in my life.
